EMS is short for Electrical Muscle Stimulation. EMS training is a full-body workout that targets multiple muscle groups simultaneously, and while a traditional workout uses about 50% of your muscles, with EMS you can engage up to 98%. As a result, EMS is renowned for being a time efficient way to exercise – a 20-minute EMS session can be the equivalent of a conventional 90-minute gym session.
Yes, EMS is safe – it is a well-researched technology that has been established for many years and sessions always take place with a knowledgeable and experienced trainer. During a session, the electrical current stimulates your muscles and feels more like a vibration.
For optimum results, we recommend one E-Pulsive workout a week, in addition to your regular exercise routine, or two a week if you don’t have time for conventional workouts. Combined with a healthy lifestyle, changes can be seen after four sessions. Scientific studies have shown the following results over a 12-week period: 9% body fat loss, 30% increase in strength and 89% of people felt stronger and fitter.
Yes, you can. EMS works well with activities such as yoga and Pilates, as well as any type of cardio. High-intensity training, for example lifting heavy weights, is another complimentary activity, but should be avoided during the recovery phase, typically 24 to 48 hours after a session.
Individual training sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours before they are due to start in order to get a full class refund. For example, if the class is on Friday at 8.00pm, please cancel by Thursday at 7.59pm.
If for any reason, you are unable to continue with EMS training, you have the option to cancel your contract anytime within 30 days of signing up. After this time, you will be required to pay the full contract amount and we will not be able to offer any refunds.
Studio sessions are valid for the given contract duration. For example, four sessions are valid for four weeks, 12 sessions are valid for 12 weeks etc. All at home sessions are valid for 12 months.
